Where can donations be sent? 
Please mail checks to: Tupelo-Lee Humane Society - P.O. Box 1185 - Tupelo , MS , 38802 .
Or
you can drop of checks, cash, or in-kind donations of bleach, cleaning supplies, old newspapers, etc. at the shelter which is located at 2400 S. Gloster Street across from the Sunshine Mills pet food factory.

What is TLHS doing to help itself?
TLHS has applied for and received a number of grants. One of the most notable came in October 2000 when the E. Rhodes and Leona B. Carpenter Foundation (the charitable arm of E. R. Carpenter Corp.) donated $30,000 for veterinary supplies and equipment. We also conduct numerous fundraisers throughout the year, receive funding through membership dues, and privately solicit donations from citizens and businesses.

Doesn't TLHS have an endowment? 
Yes! The non-profit, charitable CREATE Foundation oversees a substantial TLHS endowment. However, it is important to remember that the Society only receives a small annual payout from the investment earnings on the fund. Therefore, grants, fundraisers, and donations outside the endowment remain vital to our financial well-being.

TLHS is recognized as a 501 (c) 3 not for profit organization under the Internal Revenue Service code; therefore all donations are considered tax deductible.
